About
Myself
Hi, I'm David
As a licensed psychotherapist in Michigan, Ohio, Colorado, and Utah, I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, identity, life transitions, relationships, sexuality, and high levels of self-criticism. My approach is direct yet compassionate, integrating somatic-based practices to help you reconnect with your body while processing emotions and experiences. I bring honesty, transparency, and a touch of warmth and humor, creating a space that clients often describe as both challenging and deeply supportive.
I see therapy as a collaborative journey, where your voice shapes the path we take together. With warmth, empathy, and gentle humor, I create a space where you can fully explore your experiences and feel truly seen. Grounded in evidence-based practices and enriched with somatic approaches, our work is designed to honor the depth and complexity of your life while supporting growth, resilience, and authentic living.
Together, we explore how your body and mind have held tension, anxiety, or self-doubt. Through somatic-based work, you’ll release old patterns, cultivate presence and resilience, and strengthen your connection to yourself and those you care about. This integration of mind and body helps foster clarity, balance, and a deeper sense of self.
I draw on Attachment-Focused EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Family Systems, and Sex-Positive Therapy, tailoring interventions to each individual’s unique needs. I am deeply committed to supporting people from diverse racial, cultural, religious, gender, and sexual orientation identities, including the LGBTQIA+ community, helping clients reconnect with their values, build resilience, and move toward a more meaningful, authentic life.
Beyond therapy, I have been actively involved in social justice and advocacy, serving as a director and now advisor with V-Day, and helping to launch the One Billion Rising campaign, global initiatives dedicated to ending violence against women. My professional background in the performing arts at the William Morris Agency and Paramount Pictures, along with experience in fashion, branding, and technology, brings creativity, openness, and a multidimensional perspective to my work as a therapist.
